Product Description

1. Core Product Specification Parameters

  • Conductor Specification: 0.46~0.50mm high-purity oxygen-free copper solid conductor
  • Cable Outer Diameter: 5.2 ± 0.2mm
  • Shielding Structure: Unshielded (UTP), no additional shielding layer, conventional twisted-pair structure
  • Optional Outer Sheath Materials: PVC, LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen), B1 grade high flame retardancy

2. Core Electrical Transmission Performance

  • Transmission Bandwidth: Standard transmission bandwidth is 100MHz, meeting the basic network transmission standards for Category 5 (Cat 5) cables.
  • Transmission Rate: Under a 100-meter standard channel link, it stably supports 100Mbps (megabits per second) network transmission and is backward-compatible with 10Mbps Ethernet rates.
  • Transmission Distance: Complies with international Category 5 wiring standards TIA/EIA-568-B.2 and ISO/IEC 11801. The permanent link transmission distance is 90 meters, and the channel transmission distance is 100 meters.
  • Transmission Stability: Features a four-pair twisted-pair design, effectively reducing internal crosstalk between wire pairs, suitable for conventional wiring environments without strong electromagnetic interference.
  • Basic Electrical Indicators: Characteristic impedance is 100 ± 15Ω. Key electrical parameters such as Near-End Crosstalk (NEXT), Return Loss, and Attenuation fully comply with international standards for Category 5 Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) cables, ensuring stable transmission of basic network signals.

Application Scenarios

The Cat 5 (Category 5) unshielded twisted pair cable is suitable for 100-megabit basic network cabling.
It is mainly used for general home Internet access, office computer networking, basic network printers, 100-megabit monitoring systems, small-scale local area network (LAN) construction, and old network line upgrading/renovation.
It is not suitable for scenarios involving strong electromagnetic interference or high-speed gigabit network transmission.
